The ensemble Trio Versatile was founded by musicians permanently associated with the Wrocław Opera Orchestra: Adam Czermak – violin, Paweł Karaś – clarinet, Ashot Drnayan-Babrouski – piano.
The choice of the Trio’s name was not accidental, as the word versatile from Italian means versatility, which is reflected in the choice of the repertoire. The ensemble reaches for both classical and contemporary pieces and uses original compositions as well as many of its own arrangements. One of the group’s musical projects is the Wrocław Klezmer Trio where the musicians present Jewish and Balkan music.
All members of the Trio are winners of a number of music competitions in their fields and in December 2023, together as Trio Versatile, they were awarded a 1st Prize at the 5th International Online Music Competition in Lugano, Switzerland.
Trio Versatile is a member of the Association of Polish Chamber Musicians. Trio members also belong to the Stoart Performing Artists Association. The series of concerts “In the footsteps of Edith Stein” was financed by the ZAW STOART promotional fund.
